Debut AVP: Day 2

I slept really late last time. Client wanted to remove the animation I placed in for the introduction... Maybe I overdid it. But it doesn't matter anymore, they wanted something much simpler; and I totally agree. With the amount of time left, I really couldn't afford animating too much.

Tonight amma deal with talking heads (testimonies) with cut to cut photo images of our debutant's baby pictures. Now I need to do the following:

  • Set up segment 1 composition
  • Re-create title card
    • They wanted to call it (o-4) years of summer
  • Layout the BGM
    • Listen to BGM
    • Plot proper timing
  • Layout talking head 1 to time line
    • Listen to talking heads
    • play along with BGM
  • Sort out good and bad baby pictures
  • Decide when to cut in baby photos
    • Re-arrange talking head video
  • Layout talking head 2 to time line
    • Listen to talking head again
    • play along the BGM
  • Do we still have enought baby pitures?
    • Recycle if needs be
  • Decide when to cut in baby pictures left
    • re-arrange talking head video
  • Render
  • Call it a night
I wonder how long all this will take. I can't keep sleeping late, I'll go insane! Haha. Kidding aside, I should be working things out of the list above. Ciao!

Debut AVP: Day 1

I was commissioned to create an Audio Video Presentation (AVP) for a debut. I'd like to document my day to day; and step by step process; so I don't feel as rusty as my last commission. I always do amazing stuff, but I keep forgetting on how I did it last time. Also, this idea will help me discipline myself. So here's to a good project!

So here's my goal for the night:

Concept by the client. I need a good introductory video (video summary; the presentation in a nut shell), animating along the provided voice-overs, BGM, and photos. The segment runs approximately 1 minute. As of the writing of this blog, I haven't received all the photo assets to complete this video. So I'll make do of whatever I have.

Setup Notes:
Remember your settings Maco
I'll post what ever I can. I just want to have a clear goal at mind right now. See you next update.

Free Comic Hosting at Comic Fury!

So I just heard about this website called Comicfury.com and they will host your comics for free!

fooor freeeeee?
No ads and no other bullshit twist. They even help you customize your website however you want it. They've already pre-built codes that your webcomic might need. All you have to do is actually do the comics. The only hassle you'll have is going through your webcomic's design interface.

Just comic ain't enough, you have to make the whole package pretty!
There are tons of inspiration and templates at comicfury. What's even better is they also got a community! You'll not only earn a free page for your webcomic, you'll also earn friends and readers! I can't believe this myself at first but it's there! Waiting for you, the unknown, the aspiring comic artist.

As for me, I hope to kickstart my comicking career mid next year. That's all for now :)

Papa's Funeral

For those who doesn't know; papa passed away due to his 3rd heart attack, two weeks after his second. He now lies at Sanctuario de Carmona. The family is coping quite well. We're just thankful he didn't suffer any deformations after his attacks, and now is relieved of all his pains. The family knows papa will not leave us unprepared for the challenges ahead of us.

Papa, you did well. As far as we know, your mission has been accomplished.

I made this sketch the night Papa requested me to make him a cartoon-selfie. I never finished, I thought it could be better. I'll settle with late than never.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone. Friends, Family, and Colleagues who sent their deepest condolences, warm regards, moral & financial support. I do not know how we could have made it without all of you. Papa was our first death in the family and we know not one thing about funerals.

Again, thank you very much. As the oldest son in my family, I'll do my best to take charge from here on.

I am now quite rested and ready to work again. I miss papa for sure; but not as much as the following days, months, years, birthdays, anniversaries, and other events to come.

"If the sun were to explode, you wouldn't even know about it for 8 minutes because that's how long it takes for light to travel to us. For eight minutes the world would still be bright and it would still feel warm." - Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

My 8 minutes of papa starts now.
